Poetry Attempt- The First Conversation

The first conversation
had been about zombies.
Silly,
really, but she seemed to know
so much about them.
We talked at length about it and she buzzed
with excitement and ideas. She had opinions
about everything, even the most ridiculous
things, but it was almost endearing. I liked
the way she jumped up
to hug me,
on our very first meeting, and laughed
about how we should be best friends. And when I had to leave
to drive a friend home, I knew
we would be
the best of friends from then on.
